Over three months after Charlie Kirk’s assassination, the Turning Point USA team continues to carry on their founder’s legacy.

“We are getting prayers from so many strangers, so many people we know,” Andrew Kolvet, spokesman and executive producer of The Charlie Kirk Show, told CBN News. “Everybody’s reaching out, rooting for us, and that part has been tremendous.”

Following Kirk’s murder, TPUSA’s future seemed uncertain, but instead of dwindling, the organization has experienced the exact opposite.

Over the weekend, Turning Point USA hosted their annual America Fest 2025; they expected over 20,000 people.

“Charlie’s life was a testament to faith, courage, and conviction,” the AmFest website said. “From his earliest days, he believed America was worth fighting for – and he dedicated every moment of his 31 years to that cause. Grounded in God’s truth and driven by a calling bigger than himself, Charlie poured his life into others, raising up a generation bold in faith, steadfast in love of freedom, and unafraid to defend this nation,” the website continued.

The event promised to “continue the mission he began and to celebrate the country he loved.”

At the event, Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, who is now TPUSA’s CEO, revealed that 80% of AmFest attendees had never attended a TPUSA event before.

TPUSA has also seen an explosion in their college campus chapters, growing to over 1,400 over the last three months.

“There’s things that work and we know they work,” Kolvet told CBN. “The campus tours work. We’re going to launch a ‘Make Heaven Crowded’ TPUSA Faith tour — a revival tour all across the country. Our role is very simple when it comes to faith. That there has been a lack of leadership in the public sphere from Christians. And that if we seed that ground, you create a vacuum that others are going to fill — and you’re not going to like their ideas nearly as much as other Christians and your own.”

Even though Kirk’s death was a tragedy, God has used it to bring people to Him. Now more than ever, young people are attending church and reading their Bible. However, their support for Israel is declining.

“Absolutely, we’ve seen a shift,” Kolvet explained. “There are going to be some immovables here — non-negotiables…that Israel has a right to exist. That it has a right to defend itself. That we fully reject hatred of Jewish people — antisemitism, all that stuff. Because I think there have to be definitive lines. Now, when it comes to how much we should fund Israel, should the foreign policy status quo be continued or altered — those are worthwhile debates to have. And if you’re willing to engage in those topics, you’re actually going to inspire more trust with young people…If it’s not okay, you’re going to alienate the young people that Charlie worked so hard to bring into the fold.”

Praise God for how He can use tragedy to encourage people in their faith and stand up for their beliefs.
