Actor Patrick Brammall might be a part of hit series BLUEY, but his daughter isn’t starstruck.
“I tried to tell my 4-year-old daughter one time,” he said on GOOD MORNING AMERICA of his role as Uncle Rad. “I put on one of the episodes I’m in, and I was like, ‘Hey, do you recognize that voice?’ She didn’t want to know about it, didn’t care, and she wanted me to shut up.”
Brammall joked, “I’ll try to stop showing off to my daughter. Maybe that’s the best thing.”

He was also asked about the upcoming BLUEY movie, which is set to hit theaters in 2027. Brammall gave an answer that might disappoint some fans: “I’m not in it.”
However, the actor is in another big upcoming movie — THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2!
“I turned down an audition,” he admitted while on the TODAY show. “As an actor, you put down [audition] tapes all the time. You never hear back. I’ve been around the block….also, I had to be Dad. It was my wife’s turn to work.”
Brammall added, “Also, no one’s going to give me this role!”
However, after the movie’s director sent him a text asking him to reconsider, he took on the role, where he plays Anne Hathaway’s love interest.
Reflecting on the movie’s recent red-carpet premiere with USA TODAY, Brammall said, “That was a bit mental. And then I got home and friends started sending me photos and videos of that moment. And I was like, ‘Well, this is quite surreal. I think I might be in an iconic movie.’”
The actor called Hathaway “the best,” adding, “She made a real point of making me feel comfortable. And she’s the most playful scene partner. She’s unflappable and so present. She was great.”
In addition to his role in THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2, Brammall is known for his hit Australian comedy series COLIN FROM ACCOUNTS, which he stars in and writes alongside his wife, Harriet Dyer. The couple also share two children, Joni, 4, and Mabel, 1.
“I’ve never been more porous,” he told Metro of how becoming a dad changed him. “Look, we’re emotional creatures, and I didn’t mind a cry beforehand, but now I’ll just go to the water over anything.”
Brammall continued, “Parenting breaks you in a really beautiful way, and I’m glad I’m doing it.”
Brammall’s kids might not be impressed by his BLUEY role, but the actor is sure to score plenty of new fans after DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2 hits theaters.
