As Memorial Day approaches, several celebrities go above and beyond for our troops to honor their sacrifice and service to our great nation.

Gary Sinise

Through his Gary Sinise Foundation, Sinise serves “our nation by honoring our defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need.”

This Memorial Day, the FORREST GUMP actor will partner with PBS to host at this year’s Memorial Day Concert.

“Gary Sinise, an award-winning actor and long-time supporter of our troops, veterans, and military families, will co-host 2025’s National Memorial Day Concert on Sunday, May 25, 8/7c on @PBS. Join Gary to honor fallen heroes and their Gold Star Families,” PBS wrote on social media.

Sinise just returned from his annual Soaring Valor trip where he brings WWII veterans to a museum built in their honor and spends time with each veteran.

“Just back from an incredible Soaring Valor trip and my heart is full. Spending time with these heroes of the Greatest Generation is always humbling. Their courage and sacrifice changed the world,” Sinise wrote.

David Boreanaz

Boreanaz starred in the CBS hit TV show SEAL TEAM, a military drama that captures the lives of eight Navy Seals and how they balance the high-stakes missions of work and life.

The actor previously partnered with the USO for a tour around Scott Air Force Base.

“David spent the day connecting with service members — encouraging them during Warrior Tower training, sharing lunch in the DFAC while hearing their powerful stories of why they chose to serve, and visiting the Urban Search and Rescue unit,” the USO wrote in a post on Instagram. “He also gained insight into the diverse skills soldiers master through the Expert Infantry Badge program.”

“Time spent with the @theuso is time spent with the soul. Thank you USO and the great work you do for our men and women in uniform,” Boreanaz wrote.

Trace Adkins

Country singer Trace Adkins just released a new album that features some of his most patriotic songs.

Made In The USA features six songs to honor those who served and our nation,” Adkins wrote in a post on social media.

The tracks on the album include “Arlington,” “Semper Fi,” “Til The Last Shot’s Fired,” “American Man,” “Tough People Do” and “Fightin’ Words.”

Adkins also participated in the Gettysburg Film Festival last week where he sat down with actor Stephen Lang and historian Garry Adelman before a screening of BEYOND GLORY, “a film that brings to life the stories of eight Medal of Honor recipients.”

Later that night, Adkins performed the National Anthem.

Mark Wahlberg

Wahlberg has starred in numerous movies that honor the sacrifices our troops make daily. Through his efforts assisting the military, Wahlberg was awarded the Bob Hope Award from the Medal of Honor Society. He also works with the Wounded Warrior Project and is an active “supporter of our veteran charity efforts.”

Wahlberg was awarded the “James Gandolfini Award in 2015 for portraying similar renowned characteristics as Mr. Gandolfini and for truly living the WWP mission to honor and empower wounded warriors.”

Jared Allen

Allen is a five-time Pro Bowl defensive end and a Hall of Fame inductee. Aside from his football career, Allen founded the Homes for Wounded Warriors organization, which is “committed to providing Veterans who were wounded in combat with an accessible, mortgage-free, injury-specific home. Our mission is to provide these brave individuals with homes that are tailored to support their needs and lifestyles.”

This Memorial Day, we all, like these celebrities, should take a moment to honor the brave men and women who died for the freedoms we enjoy today.
