Power couple Alexa and Carlos PenaVega, who now call Nashville home, have been in the industry for decades. They make it a priority to glorify God in their relationship and their careers.

In recent years, they’ve taken a liking to starring in movies together like GET HIM BACK FOR CHRISTMAS and MR. MANHATTAN. They’ve even begun their own production company, Good for You Entertainment.

“‘ I love working with my husband,” Alexa told TV Insider. ‘We really know what each other’s limits are and we can be way more playful. I think that there’s something to be said that’s really special about getting to work with your spouse.”

Chip and Joanna Gaines

Chip and Joanna Gaines, made famous through their HGTV hit show FIXER UPPER and later through their Magnolia empire, is a highly talented Christian couple who has enjoyed being on-screen together. In an interview with Oprah, the couple opened up about how they’ve dealt with their sudden success.

“I want to speak on Jo’s behalf because she would never say things like this, but she is so incredibly wise, so incredibly grounded — all the things that you just described is who Joanna is,” Chip said, also revealing that he struggled with fame after years of success before deciding to step away from FIXER UPPER in 2018.

“That year off, I really think Jo and I were able to hunker down and really kind of try to unpack what it was about fame that seemed so incompatible with my personality,” he recalled.

Ben and Erin Napier

Another Christian couple that works together on TV is Ben and Erin Napier from HGTV’s HOME TOWN. The duo revealed to People that they approach everything they do together, from working on the show to raising their children, as a team.  

“We kind of formed our identities around each other in a way that I think is really healthy and good,” Erin said. “There are things I’m not great at that Ben is, and there are things that he needs help with.”

Ben said, “We approach everything as a team,” saying, “We overshare with each other.”

Kevin McGarry and Kayla Wallace

Kevin McGarry and Kayla Wallace met on WHEN CALLS THE HEART, fell in love two years ago, and married in 2024. They have enjoyed working together on Hallmark movies, FEELING BUTTERFLIES, and MY GROWN-UP CHRISTMAS LIST.

“Working across from somebody who you already have those feelings for, that part came super easy,” Wallace explained during an ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT segment about acting alongside her husband. McGarry said, “It’s easier to do, like, a romance movie with your partner.”

The couple agreed that they would love to be cast in movies together in the future.”100% I will work with Kevin McGarry again,” Wallace joked. 

“You were just a pleasure to work with,” McGarry responded with a grin.

Mario and Courtney Lopez

Mario and Courtney Lopez are another Christian couple who act together on-screen. The couple prioritizes faith and family, glorifying God in their work. They starred in the holiday movie ONCE UPON A CHRISTMAS WISH, which was extra special because they acted alongside their son, Dominic. 

“It’s something that the three of us [for the first time have] done together and seeing our names on the call sheet right underneath each other just brought pure joy to me. It’s just an experience that I will never forget, and we’ll remember forever,” Courtney said of working with her husband and son.
