Adorable Alert: Baby Plays Real-Life Elf on the Shelf

Influencer Brittany Christiana decided to dress up her youngest daughter as the Elf on the Shelf last year…and her big sister’s reaction is priceless.
“Last year, knowing how much her daughters loved to dress up in princess costumes, Brittany Christiana decided to put Violet in an elf costume in common Elf on the Shelf scenarios,” TODAY shared on Instagram Dec. 9. “Then she asked big sister Lily to ‘find’ her.”
TODAY shared a slide of festive photos and videos: Baby Violet inside the fridge with a bottle of whipped cream, in the kitchen corner with a bottle of syrup, on the counter with a pot of candied spaghetti and making a snow angel in some powdered sugar.
“Violet, you’ve got to be kidding me!” her sister, Lily, says after she spots Violet with a marker next to a graffitied family photo.
The fun seems to never stop as Violet sits atop a gift-wrapped toilet before taking a bath in a sink full of marshmallows. Her next target is the stairs as she sits on steps lined with strings of toilet paper.
“This can’t be real!” Lillie says as Violet giggles through all of her pranks.
This year, Violet came back in her elf costume for a few more pranks.
“Not you again!” Lily said at seeing Violet in her elf costume. “Wait…why do you have duct tape?”
Then Lily turns to see Violet duct-taped all her stuffed animals to the wall. Violet, meanwhile, erupts in fits of laughter.

This year, the family’s mischievous toy elf, Crackles, is making some mischief too. Brittany shared a video of Violet walking down the stairs to a trail of snow on the ground, filled with the elf’s tiny footprints.
“What…What?” Lily exclaimed at seeing the footprints. “Crackles!” she screamed happily when she saw the footsteps leading to Crackles’ seat on their Christmas tree.
This year was baby Violet’s first time in the snow. Brittany captured the special moment as Violet toddled around in her mom’s snowsuit that she wore when she was a baby. Meanwhile, her big sister Lily made a snowman nearby.
“Do you like the snow?” Brittany asked Violet.
“Yes,” said Violet, smiling.
