Alexa Davalos Not Returning to FBI: MOST WANTED

CBS announced that Alexa Davalos’ character on FBI: MOST WANTED, Special Agent Kristin Gaines, will not return for season 5.

This news shocked many fans and perhaps some who work on the show, since the end of the last season didn’t indicate that Davalos’ character would not return.

According to Deadline, Gaines was part of the all-hands-on-deck team that helped Remy (Dylan McDermott) capture his brother’s real killer during the season four finale.

The script for season five has not been written yet due to the writers’ strike, leaving fans without any idea how Special Agent Kristin Gaines’ departure will be explained on the show.

Nor is it clear if Davalos will return to the show to end her character’s story arc or if Gaines’ departure will occur off-screen.

According to multiple sources, Davalos was informed about her departure from the show after filming wrapped for season four several months ago. The conversations around Davalos’ departure were amicable.

Davalos enjoyed two seasons on the show, joining the cast at the beginning of season three when Kellan Lutz’s character, Kenny Crosby, exited.
