Ariana Grande and Josh Gad will lend their musical talents to a new animated adaptation of the Dr. Seuss classic “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!”

“Never been more excited to go places,” Gad captioned a photo of himself and Grande in the recording booth. “We are dreaming up something very very special for you.”

He continued, “Warner Brothers Animation has put together a truly all-star team. I’ve been dying to work with Ariana, Jon, Jill, JJ, Gregg Taylor, Bill Damaschke, and Pasek and Paul for ages. The wait was worth it. Still some time to go, but trust me… we’re off and away.”

The FROZEN actor confirmed OH, THE PLACES YOU’LL GO will hit IMAX theaters in March 2028.

Grande also posted the same photo, adding in her Instagram Story, “I love this book, I love this script, I love the beautiful world of @drseuss, I love this incredible group of creative human beings. I am so thrilled to be a part of this one.”

The movie sees Grande re-teaming with director John M. Chu. The two previously worked together on blockbuster musical movie WICKED and its highly-anticipated sequel WICKED: FOR GOOD.

Jill Culton will co-direct the project, with a script written by Rob Lieber. Benj Pasek and Justin Paul are creating the music for OH, THE PLACES YOU’LL GO. Their previous credits include penning lyrics for LA LA LAND, as well as music for LYLE, LYLE, CROCODILE and the live-action SNOW WHITE.

This isn’t the only Dr. Seuss project coming to the big screen soon. An animated movie version of THE CAT IN THE HAT will premiere Feb. 27, 2026.

“It’s a completely original take on a character that a lot of people have a connection to,” Bill Damaschke, president of Warner Bros. Pictures Animation, said at a press conference. “But as handled and brought to life by our filmmakers and by the very singular actor who plays the cat, it just comes out in a way that’s bigger, better, more amazing, and more whimsical than you could ever imagine.”

The titular Cat in the Hat is voiced by former SNL star Bill Hader, who shared his own connection to the character.

“Like everybody, I remember reading that book as a kid, and then reading it to my kids,” he said at the press conference. “I’m a big reader and those were the first books I remember reading on my own. It’s a habit of mine where I get in bed and read a book, and I started that with those books, and I remember collecting them and having those books up in my room.”

It looks like there’ll be plenty of Dr. Seuss adaptations to enjoy over the next few years!
