Professional boxer Tyson Fury once prayed over a little boy who was battling a rare cancer.
“In the mighty name of Jesus, heal this little boy, River. Take him into your hands and heal him with your holy hands, Lord. This is a little baby child who has committed no sin. In the mighty name of Jesus, heal this baby. Amen,” Fury prayed over the child in a video shared by Christhlete.
The outlet was also able to confirm that “River is reportedly healed from Rhabdomyosarcoma and is now a cancer survivor.”
Rhabdomyosarcoma is a “rare type of cancer that starts as a growth of cells in soft tissue. Soft tissues support and connect organs and other parts of the body,” according to the Mayo Clinic.

Fury took some time away from boxing but made his return to the ring last week when he faced Arslanbek Makhmudov in London.
According to ESPN, Fury dominated Makhmudov “120-108, 120-108 and 119-109 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.”
The boxer also recently struck a deal with Netflix for his own reality TV show, AT HOME WITH THE FURYS. Its second season on Netflix reached No. 1 in the UK.
“Thank you for the love, support and messages,” Fury shared on social media.
In 2024, Fury faced Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk on Feb. 17 in Saudi Arabia for the major heavyweight championship. Before the match began, Fury said he and Usyk were two of the “biggest Christians in boxing” at the time.
“We are the two biggest Christians in boxing,” he said in 2024, per The Christian Post. “Without failure, I can train all I want, but whoever God wants to win this fight will win. It doesn’t matter if you’re from the gutter or the kingdom of wherever.
“Listen, being a champion is great. But to see someone who is also a world champion and has big faith in God is unbelievable. Beautiful,” he added.
In 2021, Fury shared his faith when he credited God for bringing him to his feet in the fourth round to defeat Deontay Wilder.
“I would like to say thank you to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In the mighty name of Jesus, I won this fight tonight again,” Fury told the media. “I give Him the glory; He gives me the victory.”
Praise God for Fury’s faith and for His healing in River.
