Candace Cameron Bure couldn’t be more grateful that her children love the Lord, and in fact, her oldest son, Lev, serves in ministry.

“You got a 25-year-old son, Lev, who’s becoming a preacher,” Fox News host Will Cain said in a recent interview with the Great American Family actress.

“Lev got his degree in biblical and theological studies, and he still holds a full-time job, but he also preaches and pastors, as you know, a guest preacher at churches,” Bure explained, adding “and I’m grateful.”

Bure explained that she and her husband Valeri Bure raised their children to love God, a labor she is thankful to see the fruits of.

“You know, my husband and I…have been very intentional in our parenting so that they would know the love of God and have a love for scripture,” she explained. “And I’m so grateful that all of our children know the Lord and love Him, and to see Lev walk out a calling in ministry, [I’m] a very proud mom, as I’m proud of my other two kids as well. But you know, it’s nice to know that it didn’t go in one ear and out the other.”

Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” This is a promise that God gives and one that Bure sees the results of.

Bure took a long hiatus from acting when her children where little to pour into them.

“That break from acting and staying home for my kids was a refining season for me,” she said on her podcast last year.

“And I grew to love it, but I can even look back in that season, and I wish I could have some do-overs in that — because even though my life was slower and was less hurried, my mind wasn’t always in it,” she admitted.

Bure added, “And I feel I can look back and I feel bad about that. I wish I could have enjoyed those moments more and sat in it, but my mind was often future thinking, going, ‘Well, what else is next? What am I going to do?’”

Now, however, she is thankful for those previous times and sees how it paid off in her kids’ lives.

Today, Bure shares glimpses of her beautiful relationship with her children. In recent photo reel, she included a picture and her and her daughter Natasha with the caption, “Life is better when we do it together 💫”

What an encouraging reminder to keep pouring into our children’s spiritual lives.
