Candace Cameron Bure hopes her new devotional will help readers “rise up and renew [their] minds in God’s word.”

“There’s so much disappointment in the world, there’s so much brokenness and heartbreak, and I just wanted to remind women and men that there’s always hope and strength and joy that’s found in God and scripture,” she said during an appearance on FOX & FRIENDS.

Bure continued, “And so, I wrote a 30-day devotional to walk you through that. It is filled with scripture, and then personal reflections from me, and then spaces to think on it and act on it, so I give you little tasks to do daily.”

The devotional, titled Rise and Renew, is “a 30-day journey through this timeless and essential, but so easily forgotten, truth,” according to a synopsis of the book.

Rise and Renew will help guide you along the path as you begin this life-changing journey,” the synopsis continued. “We can be redeemed. We can be made new. We can rise and renew.”

Bure said, “I’d like you to rise up and renew your mind in God’s word. Remind yourself who God is, and who God says that you are. To take every thought captive and make it obedient to who God is.”

In an interview with Us Weekly, the FULL HOUSE actress shared more details about the book.

“It’s filled with scripture from the Bible, and I write some personal reflections,” Bure said. “It’s just to remind women, when they read it, that there is hope to be had, because our circumstances in life [don’t] always go the way that we want it to.”

She added, “Getting up every single morning, renewing our mind with who God says we are, and being reminded of who he is, can just change our day and make a huge difference.”

Bure also revealed some of her own experiences with “brokenness” inspired her to write Rise and Renew.

“I actually wrote it during the pandemic,” she said. “That really was the time where we were all going through a lot. There were hardships, not just because of COVID and being on lockdown and all of that, but just differences in my family life, even within my marriage.”

Bure continued, “I needed to really reflect on what was true and right and not let my thoughts spin. And so that’s where the book really came from.”

With Bure’s new devotional, readers can grow stronger in their faith as they “rise up and renew!”
