Why Marvel Makes So Many Good Movies

By Tess Farrand, Associate Content Editor

In a new interview with ANT-MAN’s Paul Rudd, actor m Chris Evans, who portrays Captain America in the AVENGERS franchise, said Marvel makes so many good movies because, “[At Marvel the] best idea wins and that’s how they end up with so many good movies so very quickly.”

Evans went on to explain that the actors feel “comfortable” playing their character and working with Marvel because of the group creative teamwork.

“It’s intimidating and overwhelming,” said Evans. “But very quickly… they make you feel so comfortable.” Evans added, “It feels like such a group effort, you know that every decision is going to kind of be vetted over endlessly.”

The CAPTAIN AMERICA star said that Marvel makes their actors feel like they can “recline” and that they’re “in good hands.”

In total, Evans has appeared in 11 Avenger movie titles. Evans’ Marvel roles contain patriotic and faith values.

In 2015, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER was nominated for a Faith and Freedom Award for Movies.

“America was at their best as far [a] moral compass during WWII. Captain America brings that sort of dignity and nobility to the present day,” said actor Bernard White at the premiere of WINTER SOLDIER.

AVENGERS: ENDGAME and SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME were recognized as some of Movieguide®’s Top 10 Movies for Mature Audiences in 2020. Rudd’s ANT-MAN AND THE WASP ranked among Movieguide®’s Top 10 Movies for Mature audiences in 2019 for its family values too.
