Catch This WOODLAWN Star on NCIS: LOS ANGELES

By Movieguide® Staff

If NCIS: LOS ANGELES’ FBI Agent Devin Roundtree looks familiar to you, it could be because he starred in the Movieguide® Award-nominated movie WOODLAWN.

Caleb Castille first appeared in the NCIS spin-off in 2020 but is now a series regular. He’s also appeared in TELL ME A STORY and WU-TANG: AN AMERICAN SAGA, but his debut role as Tony Nathan in WOODLAWN remains his most defining role.

“You can’t ask for a better situation as a young actor. I was only acting for about two years, and to step into something that I was halfway used to, but I have to give credit to these guys who have been doing this for way longer than I have, and just surrounding me, and we all had the same goal in mind:  to create a great film, and bring his story to life. It’s been a treat,” Castille said of WOODLAWN.

Castille also told Movieguide® how important it is to create values-based content.

“Clearly there’s a hunger for content. People are kind of searching for something real, they’re searching for something that can breathe life into a lifeless situation, so I think that WOODLAWN and other films like it tonight are doing that, so it’s great,” he said at the Movieguide® Awards Gala and Report to the Entertainment Industry.

The young actor, who is the son of Alabama football legend Jeremiah Castille, is also very open about his personal faith.

“When I think back over the past decade of my life Im humbled thinking about what Gods grace has allowed me to accomplish. But I wouldn’t have been able to do any of those things without my support group.❤️ The level of expectation I have for the next decade of my life can’t even be measured. If you’re reading this, try GOD and watch him flood your life with immeasurable JOY! 🙏🏾” Castille posted to Instagram on his birthday earlier this month.

“I remember a time I would pray so hard for just one audition. ( Well Lord knows I still do …😩 LoL ) But its crazy to me that I’m wrapping my THIRD character this year. As my grandma Mary would say ‘Ain’t no telling what God can do baby… and He DOING IT!” Castille wrote.

He also posted: “Your blessing has a location. What do I mean by that? I received the call for this job offer in December standing in the basement of my parents house where I grew up. The same place where just 6yrs ago I was a 22yr old heart broken, depressed kid and it’s been a heck of a ride since then! BUT I tell you all of that to say this, the same place you experienced the most darkness just might be the same location God chooses to bring you the most joy and light! Just trust Him — Ok, back to chasing bad guys with @llcoolj and the rest of the @ncisla GangGang!!”

NCIS: LOS ANGELES premieres on Oct. 11. Scroll down for some of Castille’s behind-the-scenes snaps.
