A familiar voice is coming to the children’s show THE GARDEN CARTOON: Danny Gokey!
“This is a moment we’ve been so excited to share,” a post from the show’s Instagram announced. “We’re beyond thrilled to welcome @dannygokey toTHE GARDEN CARTOON as Blake Drake!! A country-singing duck with a whole lot of charm and a voice you won’t forget!!”
THE GARDEN CARTOON follows the adventures of “Lenny the Lion and Lucy the Lamb, two best friends who embark on adventures inside a miraculous garden where ANYTHING can grow,” per the show’s website.

“This enchanting world is not just a place of wonder and imagination; it’s a place where faith takes root and flourishes,” the description finished.
THE GARDEN CARTOON gives viewers “family-focused content” in a “safe digital space, free from any harmful or inappropriate material” that has a “secure login and access system” within The Garden Cartoon App.
The show partnered with Angel Studios to distribute both seasons. Season 2 is currently airing, with new episodes premiering through May.

In addition to his role on THE GARDEN CARTOON, Gokey is currently on tour with We Are Messengers and Jon Reddick.
In a 2017 interview with CCM Magazine, the AMERICAN IDOL alum reflected on the twists and turns his career has taken.
“One of the things I love about my career is that, I think it should be ‘this way,’” he said. “I have what I think, but I love how God is like, ‘Yeah, that’s cool. Let Me put it right there.’”
Gokey continued, “I’m a visionary — I like to talk about things. I like to see things from my perspective, but I have a great Dad who just knows how to say, ‘I’m going to put you right here.’”
