Baseball Legend Darryl Strawberry Praises God for Saving Life After Heart Attack

Former professional baseball player Darryl Strawberry is asking for prayers after he suffered a heart attack on his 62nd birthday.
“Praising God for His amazing grace and loving mercy in saving my life this evening from a heart attack. I am so happy and honored to report that all is well,” he shared on Instagram.
He continued, “So thankful for the medical team and staff at St. Joseph West in Lake St. Louis for responding so quickly and bringing me through a stent-procedure that has brought my heart to total restoration!!! Your prayers are so absolutely appreciated as I continue to recover, in Jesus Name!”
Strawberry shared a follow-up series of photos to express his gratitude.
“I have a lot to be grateful for on my 62nd birthday today, celebrating the gift of my life and love of family! We thank God for this recovery process! Blessed,” the former MLB star wrote.
On June 1, the New York Mets will honor Strawberry’s incredible career with a jersey retirement ceremony.
“This patch right here will be on the inside of my tailor-made suit on June 1 #18 💙🧡 Thank you, @mets for turning my dreams into reality. The patch symbolizes the pinnacle of my baseball journey. Blessed. Forever,” Strawberry shared on his Instagram.
He also uses his platform to preach the message of Jesus Christ.
In a post on March 6, Strawberry quoted Psalms 46:10, which reads, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
“The Lord’s preparation for His great work is unmatched. When you surrender your heart to Him and believe in His word, you open the gateway to His divine power,” he expounded. “In His hands, you are molded into a vessel of strength, purpose, and resilience.
