PROPERTY BROTHERS’ Drew Scott, Linda Phan ‘Super Excited’ for New Baby

By Movieguide® Contributor

PROPERTY BROTHERS star Drew Scott and wife Linda Phan are “super excited” to welcome baby No. 2.

“I love seeing Linda as a mom, and the idea of having a couple of kiddos running around is pretty cool. I have siblings, and so for Parker [the couple’s first child, born in 2022] to have a sibling too is pretty cool,” Scott told PEOPLE.

When asked if Parker is aware of his new role as a big brother, Scott replied, “I think he knows something. If we say, ‘Where’s the baby?,’ he puts his hand on his belly. So he knows something, but I don’t know if he quite gets it yet.”

The HGTV star also shared that the couple is waiting until the baby is born to find out the gender. They did the same thing when Parker was born.

Movieguide® previously reported on the couple’s pregnancy announcement:

“Round 2,” Scott captioned a picture of Phan showing off her baby bump to son Parker. “I hope Parker’s ready for a lil company.”

Phan also posted the picture in a carousel of images, captioned, “💕 lately-ish 💕”

Scott and Phan have spoken about the ups and downs of parenting, especially in the early stages of a child’s life.

“[Linda] was good at letting me know what she needed to tackle everything, but after doing that it made me understand how easy it could be to just let Linda take the reins on everything Parker — I’m at work all day and she’s with him, so it’s easy for me to forget that I’m a parent here too and I have certain responsibilities,” Scott explained, adding that the couple’s “open dialogue…is a huge part of me being a better dad.”

“It’s not just about the baby, it’s also about your communication with your partner,” he concluded.

In an interview for the Property Brothers’ website, Scott talked about how he wants to prioritize fatherhood over his job.

“I don’t want to be the dad who’s off filming and works all the time,” he said. “The traditional stereotypes are not of interest to me. Linda and I both want to be impactful in Parker’s growth.”
