TODAY’s Dylan Dreyer joined TODAY WITH JENNA & FRIENDS, where she discussed how her faith in God has left her completely “content.”
“I’ve relied on my faith more than anything,” Dreyer declared. “Like every morning, I read God Calling, every night I read Jesus Calling. And there is something really comforting about knowing that there is a higher power holding my hand every day, that at the end of the day, with all the stress and everything going on, I lay my head on the pillow and I’m content.”
The meteorologist continued: “And I even talked to my therapist. I’m like, ‘Am I repressing feelings? Am I pushing things down? Is this healthy what I’m doing because I feel okay? Every day I come to work and I smile, and it’s not fake. I’m genuinely happy. I’m with my kids, and I’m laughing all the time. I’m with Brian, and I’m laughing. Am I repressing something?’ And she said, ‘No, you are realizing that God has this plan for you. You don’t need to know what the outcome will be. Just follow it.'”

She loves being a mom but experiences many of the relatable parenting anxieties we all face at times.
“Not sure anything gives me more anxiety than choosing a school picture package,” she posted on Instagram . The number of wallet size photos I need for everyone in my family that I’ll never give. And a 3×5 or 5×7? What even are those sizes??? Sure…I’ll take it all! I’ll take it all and put it in the bottom of a box I’ll put in storage. But I did my duty as a mom.”
In September Dreyer admitted that it’s hard to watch her kids go back to school, telling fellow TODAY host Craig Melvin, “I’m a little sad about that.” But she also gets excited for the “new chapter.”
“I have brand new school supplies for the boys and I tell everyone not to touch them!” she added.
The doting mom also does her best to make her kids’ dreams come true, even challenging birthday cake designs.
“Rusty’s birthday request this year: a TMNT [TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLE] cake. Sketch is made…let’s see how this goes!” she posted alongside a sketch of the cake.
The follow-up post featured the finished project. “Birthday wish granted!” Dreyer celebrated.
It’s obvious Dreyer is on a path to healing as she relies on God and feels contentment and overwhelming peace in all areas of her life.
