Erin Napier Cherishes Daughters’ Relationship: ‘It’s Fascinating’

By Movieguide® Contributor

HOME TOWN’s Erin Napier just shared an adorable post about her daughters’ strong relationship.

The photo Napier posted shows daughters Helen, 5, and Mae, 19 months, watching ballerinas perform onstage. Helen has her arm wrapped around her younger sister.

“All of a sudden, they’re becoming a team,” Napier wrote. “Mae was cheering in the front row, and Helen was squinting into the spotlight, smiling and waving from the stage for her baby sister who called back, ‘HEY SISSY!’”

She continued, “As they watched the younger ballerinas do their rehearsal, Helen whispered to Mae, ‘you can be up there one day.’ It’s fascinating to watch siblings become friends.”

Even though Helen and Mae are close, Napier did share that the pair experienced a bit of sibling rivalry when Mae first arrived. Movieguide® previously reported:

A new baby means lots of adjustment – and not just for the parents. Erin and Ben Napier have revealed that oldest daughter Helen is still getting used to her little sister.

“She’s now finding out that Mae [nine months] is starting to show a personality,” Erin shared with Us Weekly. “She can clap her hands, she can crawl and everybody cheers and is so excited. I think she’s starting to feel a little, like, ‘Well what about me?’”

She added that Helen, 4, is “just now getting into a little bit of … jealousy,” noting that she is still “so sweet” with Mae.

“Helen is never, ever ugly toward her baby,” Erin continued. “This morning, they were having a ball playing together. It was the first time where Helen was really playing with her. Like, they were friends and not just like, ‘Don’t take my toy.’”
