Former Rock Band Manager Gave Life to Christ After Near-Fatal Accident

Pastor and evangelist Kelly K has shared the Gospel with thousands of people, leading them in a relationship with Jesus, but his ministry came about after a near-death car accident.
“Before coming to Jesus, Kelly K was a musician and tour manager for some of the biggest rock bands in the World,” his website reads.
One day while on tour, he got into an accident that changed the trajectory of his life.
“Here’s what so crazy. Even though I wasn’t following God closely [at the time], there was about five or six little things that happened right before the crash where, looking back, I see that God completely saved my life,” Kelly K told Carrie Hofmeister on her podcast. “If these little things would not have happened, I guarantee it would have killed me.”
“That kind of ended my touring days for the next twelve years,” he continued. “I spent the next three months in and out of burn centers having my back repaired. The while I was healing I had a little bit of PTSD. Riding in cars gave me extreme stress and anxiety. There was no way I could sleep on a bus or a vehicle anymore.”
While he grew up in a Christian home and even knew that God called him to be a preacher, he walked away from his faith when he was 20 “and gave all of myself to the rock and roll lifestyle.”
“I never stopped believing in God, I always knew He was real, and I knew I was called to be a preacher, but that’s not what I wanted at the time, so my focus became all about me instead of God. It wasn’t until the crash that I started to turn my attention back to Him,” he told JubileeCast.
Since then, Kelly has pursued ministry. “I’m the associate pastor at Limitless Church in Kingfisher, OK, and a full-time traveling evangelist. However, my main focus is on social media. I see that as the biggest mission field on earth!” he said.
He recently wrote a 40-day devotional, “Think about THAT for a Minute! Vol. 2.”
“Think about that for a Minute is a Bible Study unlike any you’ve ever read before! Taking a different scripture each day and looking at it from a completely new angle, letting the Word of God truly transom your life one day at a time,” he posted on Instagram.
“The Bible tells us in Psalms 1 that if we meditate on His Word day and night, we will prosper in EVERY season of our lives! That is the goal and purpose of this book,” he continued. “It truly is as easy as picking a scripture each day, and think about it for a minute! So with a daily scripture, daily challenge, and a prayer, in 40 days you will have a deeper understanding of the Love God has for you, AND you will have stepped into a promise God made to you, to live a blessed life by simply, thinking about THAT for a Minute!”
