Swooon reported that Krakow, who plays Elizabeth Thornton, met Rosenbaum (Mike Hickam) on the WCTH set. They didn’t make their relationship public until Valentine’s Day 2024, though speculations about their relationship began in early 2023.
“I think there’s just always been a bit of magic in Hope Valley,” Krakow said of the real-life relationships that’ve happened thanks to WCTH. “I know that’s not the most romantic illustration of what makes Hope Valley magical, but I do think there’s just something special about the show and the people involved. When you put a bunch of special people together in one place, connections are bound to be made.”
The pair are now hard at work on WCTH Season 13, which recently started production.
“I am so excited that we got to launch them toward Cape Fullerton, to literally put them on new territory… ” writer and executive producer Joy Gregory said on the “Heart to Hearties” podcast of Elizabeth and Nathan. “They’re going to co-parent someone who has a chronic illness. And while we certainly aren’t going to dwell in the kind of peril that we brought to the end of our season, we do want to honor the reality of that and how it might change Elizabeth.”
Jack Wagner, who plays Bill Avery, recently teased, “There’s going to be an event that happens, and I’ll just tease you a little bit, that’s going to be life-changing for everyone.”
“So that’s going to be the disaster and obstacle that we face this year as a community in Hope Valley, and it starts rather quickly,” he continued, “I don’t think we’ve had one of those for a while where the entire community was threatened, but that looks like the story we’re going to tell and the obstacle we’re going to face this year.”
A premiere date has yet to be announced for Season 13, but for now, fans can celebrate Krakow and Rosenbaum’s real-life love story.
