Angel Studios announced THE KING OF KINGS, IGGY AND MR. KIRK, TESTAMENT and THE MERCY SHIPS will stream this month on its platform.
THE KING OF KINGS released in theaters earlier this spring, making a big splash at the box office and setting new records as it shared the Gospel story from a child’s perspective.
“THE KING OF KINGS is a terrific, powerful way to introduce children to the story of Jesus in a way they can understand, through the dynamics of the Dickens family,” Movieguide®’s review says. “In real life Charles Dickens was ambiguous about his Christian faith. However, there’s something exciting and special about the movie’s historical, Dickensian way of telling the story rather than other animated versions that use children or animals. THE KING OF KINGS is an excellent, acceptable version of the Gospel for children aged six and up.”
THE KING OF KINGS is now streaming on Angel.
Kirk Cameron’s highly anticipated IGGY AND MR. KIRK is a safe and educational show for children that started streaming earlier this week.
“Watch as Iggy discovers the importance of honesty, forgiveness, bravery, and more! Iggy may not have it all figured out, but thanks to Mr. Kirk, Iggy’s friends, and some great Freedom Island stories, he’ll grow a little more each day,” Angel’s description reads.
Last week, Angel Studios posted a preview of their new series TESTAMENT on Instagram.
In the video, Charlie Beaven, who plays Stephen, says that it is “based on the book of Acts and set in the modern day.”

“The entire team behind TESTAMENT is London-based,” Angel Studios co-founder Jeffrey Harmon said at a recent gala screening in the UK. “They filmed it here in London, they’re all from the UK. We came here to celebrate the launch with the team.”
He added, “We’ve launched a lot of theatrical releases here, and we think that TESTAMENT will resonate well with the British audience.”
Episodes 1-2 drop on June 8. Other new episodes will release throughout the month.
MERCY SHIPS arrives June 18 as the series follows “a team of volunteers from over 60 nations dedicates their lives to bringing hope and healing.”
“While facing life-and-death emergencies, they also navigate faith, friendship, love, and the daily challenges of living at sea. This inspiring look at life aboard the world’s largest civilian hospital ships reveals the heart, resilience, and humanity behind every mission,” the synopsis reads.
Episodes 1-3 will begin streaming exclusively on Angel on June 18. Episode 4 arrives June 25.
Other exciting content to look forward to this month includes THE LIGHTNING CODE, new DRY BAR COMEDY specials, COWGIRLS N’ ANGELS, TRAIL HACKS: WITH THE WILD BROTHERS and TUTTLE TWINS minisodes.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring such a diverse and meaningful lineup to Angel audiences this June,” said David Fischer, Director of Business Affairs and Acquisitions at Angel, in a statement. “From the heartfelt power of THE KING OF KINGS, to the transformative true stories behind MERCY SHIPS, and the bold new vision of TESTAMENT, this month’s new releases reflect our commitment to stories that matter — stories chosen and championed by the Angel Guild.”
The new content won’t stop when June is over.
On Aug. 6, SKETCH will arrive in theaters.
“When a 10-year-old girl’s sketchbook takes a dip in a mysterious forest pond, her comically imaginative drawings spring to life, and they’re not exactly friendly. As these scribbled monsters wreak havoc, it’s up to her family to come together, face the madness, and somehow save the day,” the studio’s synopsis reads.
The A WEEK AWAY series will arrive in August as well.
With the kids out of school, summer is the perfect time to check out Angels’ safe and fresh faith-based content.
