FIGHTING SPIRIT: A COMBAT CHAPLAIN’S JOURNEY, which reveals the impact our Military’s chaplains have had on our nation’s greatest heroes, releases this Veterans Day.

“We may be tempted to believe, that the things dividing us are larger than those uniting us,” a promotion for the documentary says. “In those moments, we become aware of our need for heroes. Which is why we take a moment to give a thanks for those special people who: Provide hope, Comfort the hurting and inspire a Fighting Spirit within us all. These unsung heroes are our combat chaplains.”

“Today, we offer thanks for the inspiration that Military chaplains provide, for ALL Americans, to freely practice their faith…so that we may form a more perfect union. May the stories of our chaplains’ service and sacrifice finally unite us all,” the post continued.

The documentary seeks to highlight the unique challenge of being a combat chaplain and to honor the 419 U.S. Military chaplains who have given their lives during the Army Chaplain Corps.’s storied history. The project also focuses on how chaplains are on the front line against the Military’s greatest adversary, mental health.

FIGHTING SPIRIT was written by Rich Hull and directed by Hull and former chaplain Justin D. Roberts. Actor Chris Pratt has also been involved in the project and wants fans to go see it.

“I’m so excited for audiences to see this film theatrically on Veterans Day,” Pratt documentary-executive-producer-1236082764/">said.  “The work done by combat chaplains to support our soldiers through issues of life and death on the frontlines is truly extraordinary, and to be part of celebrating this story of a chaplain’s journey in such a cinematic way is an honor.”
