Well, Forrest Frank might be the go-to artist for creating hit songs inspired by injuries.

After breaking his back last month, the viral Christian musician released two songs created out of the pain, one of which, “Lemonade,” went No. 1 in all genres. He miraculously recovered just two weeks after the injury.

When fellow Christian singer David Crowder broke his leg, Frank penned a song just for him.

Last week, Crowder shared on Instagram, “I’m not nearly as athletic as I thought I was. I’ve broken my leg and had to have emergency surgery, including some plates and screws. Unfortunately, I will have to miss a few shows.😔 I’m on the mend and we will figure out how to get back there as soon as we can! Thanks so much for the prayers.” He concluded the post by tagging Frank.

Frank responded to Crowder’s tag, saying, “David Crowder has broken his leg, and apparently, I am the broken bone guy, because he tagged me in his post saying that he broke his leg.”

“Not to be cliché, but God is turning lemons into lemonade always, if you will allow him to,” the singer continued. “Anyways, as I’m looking at this post, I’m thinking, you may not be able to stand out of your bed, but you can stand on the rock of Jesus Christ. So I started a song. If you want to be a part of it, let me know. If you have some tweaks, if you have some notes, let me know. But here’s kind of the general direction.”

The song lyrics go:

I put my faith in Jesus.

I put my trust in God.

All other ground is sinking sand

So, I’m standing on the…

I’m standing on the…

I’m standing on the…Rock.

“What do you think @crowder 👀” Frank asked. “It’s just a start, so I’m down to edit/add/change any elements. Just paying forward this blessing God gave me. & Praying you have a speedy recovery, man. God bless.”

While recovering, Frank also wrote “God’s Got My Back” while lying flat on his back in bed.

The lyrics read:

God’s got my back (Hm)
Even when I fall or get attacked
God’s got my back
Even when I’m low and full of lack
God’s got my back
Even when my soul is full of sorrow
I don’t have to worry about tomorrow
Why’s that?
‘Cause God’s got my—

Now he’s back on stage, performing at the Iowa State Fair last week.

“I never wanted to go on the road…But I feel a call from God to be here,” Frank said of his career from the stage. “I started out making secular music…But I wasn’t close enough to Jesus. To hear this whisper, that I think was there constantly, but I was ignoring it. At some point, it grew into a nudge, and I could feel it in my stomach…and this came out of my quiet time…and it launched this whole Christian thing.”

God certainly uses Frank to further his kingdom, whether it’s through new music inspired by life’s challenges or miraculous healings.
