“Revival is here,” according to Candace Cameron Bure.
“It is so exciting to be here in this moment, and in 2026, reading the entire Bible aloud to the world — not just our nation…I very much feel that revival is here ‘cause this is historic,” the FULL HOUSE actress told Fox News.
Bure is one of many who took part in April’s America Reads the Bible event, a celebration of scripture, as well as America’s 250th birthday.
“America Reads the Bible serves as a spiritual celebration of our nation’s founding ideals and a call to rediscover the truth that still anchors us today,” the organization’s website reads. “Through live readings, national broadcasts, discipleship partnerships, and local gatherings, this movement exists to remind leaders — and the nation — that lasting renewal begins with a return to God’s Word.”
Bure, who was named the national spokesperson for the event, shared, “The Bible really changed my life…to read the Bible and look for God from start to finish, and to see the overarching view of God’s love for us [is impactful].”
In a separate interview with Fox News, Bure said it was “humbling” to read the “holy words” of God at the event, adding, “We’re a bunch of imperfect people reminding ourselves that we need to be humble, and God is a God above all else.”
She also commented on Gen Z’s growing interest in Christianity, saying, “God gives us that peace overall when we follow His ways. And so, more young people are realizing that. They are having encounters with God, and it is so exciting to see.”
Bure recently received some exciting news — she’s going to be a grandmother!
Her daughter Natasha and husband Bradley Steven Perry announced her pregnancy earlier this month on Instagram, calling parenthood “Our dream role.”
“This is just the sweetest season. I’ve dreamed and prayed about being a grandma, and now it’s actually happening,” Bure told TODAY. “Watching Natasha become a mom has been so beautiful, and I can truly see God’s hand in every part of her journey into motherhood.”
She continued, “I already find myself thinking about all the traditions and memories we’ll get to create and thanking the Lord for this gift. Candy Gram is ready and waiting!”
From faith-filled events to new family members, Bure has a lot to celebrate these days!
