GAF Star Laura Osnes Calls JUST IN TIME a ‘True Redemption Story’
By Movieguide® Contributor
The Great American Family recently released a new Easter movie called JUST IN TIME, and star Laura Osnes is opening up about the project.
“What I love about this story and what makes it so compelling, especially at Easter time, is that it’s a true redemption story. I think it’s all about how even in the most hopeless situations God can show up and turn it into something beautiful,” Osnes shared.
The movie follows Hannah, played by Osnes, and her husband Rowan (Greyston Holt). The couple “have focused all their time, energy, and attention into trying to have a baby. The pressure to complete their family starts weighing heavily on their relationship. The couple is left questioning if having a child is the right thing to do and if they are still right for one another.”
The synopsis continued, “When Hannah receives a call from a stranger, named Franklin (Bryant), who claims to have discovered an antique on the beach bearing an inscription unique to Hannah and Rowan, she reluctantly agrees to meet him to look. Franklin is certain the watch is a long-lost heirloom from Hannah’s family. In the end, Franklin’s patient approach helps Hannah see that the answers to all she seeks will be revealed in God’s time.”
Osnes is grateful for the opportunity to share this story with viewers.
“God jump-started 2024 with an opportunity to film a beautiful new movie on Vancouver Island. Tho we battled snow and some frigid temps on set, I pinched myself every day, so grateful to help bring the meaningful story & message of #JustInTime to life for all of you this Easter season,” she wrote on Instagram.
“Everything happens so fast on these projects, and developing camaraderie & trust with new people in sometimes just a day or two is never guaranteed. But thanks to the multi-marvelousness of this leading cast, chemistry was instant and effortless,” she added.
JUST IN TIME is the fourth movie made under Candace Cameron Bure’s “Candace Cameron Bure Presents” banner.
“I have to pinch myself daily when I realize that I’m living my dream of making family and faith centered movies,” she said of making JUST IN TIME.
The movie premiered on GAF on Tuesday, March 27. However, there will be an encore showing of the film tonight at 6 p.m. ET.
