Your Whole Family Will Love Great American Media’s New Program

Great American Media has committed to bringing families edifying content with “Faith and Family Sundays,” a program releasing new faith-centered content for the next 30 weeks.
“Despite the media’s focus on rewarding content that isn’t family-friendly, mainstream audiences continue to crave stories rooted in faith, love, and kindness – timeless themes that have produced mega-hits across every era of broadcasting,” said Great American Media CEO and president, Bill Abbott.
“Great American Media is leading the movement to bring faith-filled storytelling back to television, during 30 consecutive weeks of uplifting programming every Sunday night,” Abbott continued. “New episodes of COUNTY RESCUE and WHEN HOPE CALLS will also be available on our streaming platform, Pure Flix, with our promise of entertainment without compromise.”
Faith and Family Sundays kicked off last weekend with Season 2 of COUNTRY RESCUE, which will air new episodes for six weeks before giving its time slot to WHEN HOPE CALLS, starting April 6, which is returning for Season 2. WHEN HOPE CALLS, the sequel to WHEN CALLS THE HEART, will also run for six weeks before VINDICATION airs eight new episodes starting May 18. Great American Media has yet to announce what show will round out the final 10 weeks of the event before the network starts up Great American Christmas.

Since Great American Family launched in 2021, it has become one of the premiere destinations of faith-focused content. The network has reiterated time and time again that it is fully committed family, faith and hometown values.
“We started Great American Family with a belif that the majority of people are tired of what they see on TV, and that there isn’t a place that allows viewers to come to and be inspired and uplifted and have faith an family at the forefront of what they view,” Abbott told Movieguide® in 2023. “They can’t watch with their families. We want to be that outlet.”
“The vast majority, if not all, of the entertainment outlets in the business are edgy and salacious, they are the bottom of the barrel in terms of the content that they produce,” he added. “We wanted to be the quality creator of everything that is faith and family for viewers.”
With Faith and Family Sundays, Great American Family remains committed to its founding values and opens up another avenue for families to come together around high-quality content.
