We just got a first look at the latest HANNAH SWENSEN mystery, SUGAR & VICE!
“Hannah finds a body at the grand re-opening of the Lake Eden Inn,” a description of the movie from Hallmark reads. “When a storm traps everyone inside, Hannah must find the culprit before the road clears and the killer escapes.”
Alison Sweeney reprises her role as Hannah and serves as an executive producer on the project. She appears alongside her WEDDING VEIL trilogy co-star Victor Webster, as well as Barbara Niven, who returns as Hannah’s mother.
Sweeney has starred in several HANNAH SWENSEN movies for Hallmark, including 2024’s A SPRINKLE OF DECEIT.

The stars of the movie recently revealed some exciting news — there’s another HANNAH SWENSEN MYSTERY on the way!
“We’re all together because we have a little announcement. Should we tell them?” Sweeney said in a recent Instagram video. “We have just finished filming a new HANNAH SWENSEN! So, you get two this year. We’re very excited to make that announcement.”
“Thank you so much for watching. Because you do, that’s why we get to make another one,” Niven added.
Sweeney previously spoke about how much she enjoys making the HANNAH SWENSEN movies. In a 2021 interview with Culturess, she said coming back to set for each movie is “like a family reunion.”
“We just fell right back into the dynamic that you had before, and the friendships and the relationships and the trust that we all have with each other,” Sweeney continued.
The actress also shared her love for the character, saying, “I love Hannah for her nosiness. I think it’s a hilarious trait that she has. She’s super aware of all the little clues in the beginning. There’s nothing she doesn’t see, you know? I think that’s a fun quirk of her character.”
In another interview with UPI, Sweeney touched on why viewers enjoy the HANNAH SWENSEN MYSTERIES so much.
“Life is hard and there’s plenty of other types of programming and stuff available,” she explained. “I think it’s great to offer this as something just light and fun.”
SUGAR & VICE: A HANNAH SWENSEN MYSTERY premieres March 7 on the Hallmark Channel and will stream on Hallmark+ the following day.
