Lara Spencer, GOOD MORNING AMERICA co-host and longtime lifestyle TV personality, is gearing up to bring her passion for thrifting and design back to television screens with an all-new competition series, THAT THRIFTING SHOW.
Fans of Spencer’s previous work in home and design are buzzing with anticipation as the show prepares to debut on Freeform and Hulu in just a few weeks.
“Anyone who enjoyed #Fleamarketflip or loves to go thrifting — listen up!!! We have just 8 weeks until the launch of my very special new TV project on @freeform (home of Project Runway!) and @hulu called THAT THRIFTING SHOW (come on, you know you’ll never forget the name!!!),” Spencer recently posted on Instagram.
Her post included a photo reel of several vintage items Spencer recently found, including beautiful chairs, lamps, paintings and more unique objects.

“But if you need a little vintage eye candy to tide you over until then, here’s a sneak peak of some of the things my shop partner Lisa and I have found for our booth at @fairfieldcountyantiquedesign in Norwalk, CT (come visit-and make sure to say hi the sales team and owners Robert and Karen-they’re great!),” she said.
People in the comment section expressed excitement for the upcoming series.
“Can’t wait to see your new additions this week! And to watch THAT THRIFTING SHOW when it airs!” one person said. Another fan added, “Soooooooo excited! Love you and your books and shows.”
This isn’t Spencer’s first time sharing her love of thrifting on air. She previously hosted HGTV’s FLEA MARKET FLIP from 2012-2019.
The new series will air on Hulu and Freeform. In an announcement from Freeform last September, the company said, “Freeform and Hulu announced the new unscripted competition series THAT THRIFTING SHOW WITH LARA SPENCER from executive producer and host Lara Spencer.”
Freeform continued, “The series will debut on Freeform and Hulu in 2026. In the 12-episode series, vintage design expert Lara Spencer presents two designer duos with identical rooms. With limited time and budget, teams must treasure hunt for vintage and thrift store finds to design their way to beautiful, layered, finished rooms. It’s style and sustainability in a race against the clock.”
THAT THRIFTING SHOW is produced by Butternut, “a division of Wheelhouse Entertainment, and Envisionary Productions.” This is in partnership with Courtney White and Cheryl Wayne of Butternut, Jon Rosen of Envisionary Productions and “senior executive producer David Sloan and Melia Patria for ABC News Studios.”
THAT THRIFTING SHOW will debut this March. Meanwhile, catch Spencer on GOOD MORNING AMERICA.
