Here’s When THE CHOSEN Season 5 Will Hit Theaters

The hit series THE CHOSEN will return for yet another theatrical release this upcoming Easter season.
The theatrical release of Season 5, titled “THE CHOSEN: LAST SUPPER,” follows Jesus through Holy Week.
“The table is set. The people of Israel welcome Jesus as king while his disciples anticipate his crowning. But — instead of confronting Rome — he turns the tables on the Jewish religious festival. Their power threatened, the country’s religious and political leaders will go to any length to ensure this Passover meal is Jesus’ last,” the synopsis reads.
THE CHOSEN: LAST SUPPER will release in theaters starting on March 27, 2025, in the U.S. and Canada. Three parts — Part 1 (episodes 1-2), Part 2 (episodes 3, 4, 5) and Part 3 (episodes 6, 7, 8) — will drop over the next four weeks.
“Part 1 will hit theaters in more than 40 additional territories starting April 10, including Brazil, Mexico, United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Poland, Philippines and India, among others. Season 5 will then make its streaming debut later in 2025,” Variety said.
“I’m possibly more excited to bring Season 5 to the world than any other season we’ve done,” said Dallas Jenkins, creator and executive producer of THE CHOSEN. “Unfortunately, it’s not coming until March, but that’s because it’s such a huge season and requires a ton of work. But I’m so thrilled to show this first glimpse of it with the poster and the teaser.”

Before the teaser dropped, THE CHOSEN star Jonathan Roumie shared a glimpse of it on his Instagram.
The post shows Jesus sitting at a large, empty candlelit table, followed by a photo of him holding a whip at the temple.
Fans commented on the post in anticipation. “This season will be so hard, but we know the ending! The tomb will be empty 🙏” one user said. Another person commented, “I sense that this season is going to bring strong conversions 🙏🏻❤️”
Jenkins previously spoke about the “heartbreaking” nature of Season 5.
“The portrayal of that in Season 5 is exciting and heartbreaking…How we portray scenes between Jesus and Judas when Jesus knows what’s coming. It’s been really fascinating to portray,” he said.
