candace cameron bure is prouder than ever of her faith, which she believes helped her throughout her Hollywood career.
“My faith is the cornerstone of who I am. It’s where my worldview comes from. I value the Bible so very much as the blueprint or the guide for my life, and it’s not something that I can leave at the doorstep,” Bure told Parade recently. “So that has been an incredible guiding light in my life, but it’s also seeped into every aspect of my life. I’m really proud of it.”
“I would say for the most part it’s probably helped me in my career. When I was a co-host on THE VIEW [from 2015-16], the producer told me,: ‘We hired you as a reflection of a woman who is strong in your faith, and so we would love to hear your voice on this panel’,” Bure said.
At the time, the request astonished Bure.
“That was surprising to me because a lot of times we don’t think of Hollywood as a super-faithful place,” She explained. “So I feel like God opened those doors for me to be able to use my voice, and it was embraced more than there was pushback.”

As our culture progresses, as every year goes on, it gets a little bit harder. And yet it just makes me stand firmer and more grounded and understanding of who I want to be.”
Bure openly talks about her faith constantly. It’s completely bound in her identity and comes into conversation in every episode of her podcast, which has an episode every week.
“Season 8 of my podcast comes out next week,” Bure said in a YouTube video. “My expert guest host this season is none other than Priscilla Shirer!…

She says, “I am an actress. I am also a wife, mother of three, producer, director, business woman, I served as a talk show host on THE VIEW for two years, and I’m a New York Times Best-Selling Author! While I am thankful for all of those opportunities and titles, I feel that the most life changing one I identify with is ‘Christian.’ I am a Christian woman who loves Jesus and seeks to give Him the glory above all else.”
In 2022, Bure left the Hallmark channel for Great American Family.
“My heart wants to tell stories that have more meaning and purpose and depth behind them,” she said of her decision to switch. “I knew that the people behind Great American Family were Christians that love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment.”
Since her switch, she’s starred in four GAF movies and has more on the way.
Over the years, she has won multiple Teddy Bear Awards® at the Movieguide® Awards Gala for her performances in uplifting movies.
