Alabama native Ella Langley is making waves in the country music scene, and her love for God and county are setting her up to be the “new Taylor Swift.”

This year, Langley became the first woman to top the Billboard Hot 100, Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts simultaneously for her song “Choosin’ Texas.” In April, she released “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” a duet with country star Morgan Wallen which has become her second most-successful hit. According to The Telegraph, it’s the first time a country duo has reached the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 since Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers.

Yahoo Entertainment recently reported that “Choosin’ Texas” was the most played song on Touch Tunes for the first quarter of 2026.

Her natural talent makes her stand out. Her second album, Dandelion, which came out last month, harkens back to the classic country tunes she listened to growing up, starting with the folk song Froggy Went a Courtin’.

“Ella is smart, cute, talented and releasing music at a way better time for country than when Taylor released Fearless [in 2008],” a source said about Langley’s success. “What’s interesting too is that she seems to be big amongst guys [Langley has a male fandom called the ‘Ella Fellas’] as well as girls, meaning her shows have way more potential to sell out than Taylor’s early ones. And she won’t suffer from that ‘girly’ label. It looks like she’ll be Nashville’s biggest breakthrough in decades and could even be bigger than Morgan [Wallen].”

She has a wholesomeness to her that’s often missing in music’s biggest stars.

Last month, she talked to podcaster Theo Von about her homeschool education and church background.

“Pretty much all we did was go to church,” she said, noting that her “really, really small church” started “in a barn. The house that I also grew up in, my dad grew up in, and there was an old barn across the street, and it started in hay bales on that barn, and then they moved it to a church, and I mean every Sunday and Wednesday until I was 18 years old.”

Of her faith, Langley recently shared that it’s changed “drastically” over the last year.

“Even though I’ve been a believer in Christ my whole life, my relationship with Him has changed drastically over the last year,” she wrote in a recent Instagram post. “I started to have ‘faith.’ I started to view the days we have been given as a gift instead of a chore.”

Langley continued, “I am so grateful for a God who leads with love and compassion. Thank you Jesus for giving me a way to spend eternity with You.”

Last month, Langley was awarded Billboard’s Women in Music Powerhouse Award. In a post to Instagram, she said, “What a massive honor to receive the Powerhouse award last night. Thank you, @billboard!”

People in the comment section congratulated Langley on the achievement. “CONGRATULATIONS! You have an awesome voice,” one fan said. Another added, “Congratulations but please don’t go Hollywood on us. We love that country girl vibe. Stay true to yourself.”

Hopefully, Langley stays true to her wholesome roots.
