Jana Kramer shared the message of new movie THE CHRISTMAS RING, as well as her very own Christmas miracle.

“I love Christmas movies,” she told Movieguide®. “They just make you feel good.”

When it came to THE CHRISTMAS RING, Kramer said the script felt “different,” adding, “I love how [Karen Kingsbury] intertwined faith in there. I just love the heart and the message of it all.”

A synopsis of THE CHRISTMAS RING reads, “While searching for her family’s long-lost heirloom ring, a military widow meets a poetic antique dealer. The two forge a deep friendship that could become a breathtaking romance. But shocking news hits right before Christmas.”

Movieguide®’s review of the movie praised its “strong Christian worldview” and “positive moral, redemptive themes,” like friendship, family relationships and community.

“We all have struggled with some sort of loss, and around the holidays, that can be highlighted a bit more and that can bring up more pain,” Kramer said of the movie’s plot. “And I think where we touched on that in the film was a beautiful piece.”

She continued, “The holidays can be a difficult time for people, but that’s what I love about Christmas movies…you know where the story’s going to go, and sometimes I think that’s a comfort for people.”

The actress also shared her own Christmas miracle.

“I think just being where I’m at now is the greatest miracle,” Kramer said but added that her Christmas miracle would be her “beautiful new family, this blended family.”

“And I think that’s beautiful and that just shows you that there is love and hope and joy just around the corner when you don’t even realize or recognize it,” Kramer concluded. “So, to me, that’s a miracle.”

Kramer spoke to Forbes about THE CHRISTMAS RING, saying, “It has everything you love about a Christmas movie but has a different depth. There’s the loss of my [character’s] husband who was in the army, then there’s the faith aspect which I love. I speak about my faith a lot, but I haven’t done many faith films. And Karen intertwines faith in such a beautiful way.”

“There are not many Christmas movies that go to the theater, so it’s such a fun thing. I would just say — make it a fun thing for you and your family because it is family friendly,” the actress added. “Enjoy the best time of the year and get early in that season-feeling early by watching a movie.”

THE CHRISTMAS RING is now showing in theaters!
