Jenny Marrs on Experiencing the ‘Evidence of the Goodness of God’

Jenny Marrs partnered with St. Jude and child cancer survivor Jay Cobb to bless a family currently facing child cancer with a new playground.

“On days like today, standing on holy ground, in front of tangible evidence of the goodness of God, I’m reminded that this world is full of light bearers,” Marrs posted to Instagram. “The ones who fight for joy. The ones who keep their heads down and quietly do the work. The ones who turn around and offer a hand to the next in line.”

“Light bearers like Jay Cobb. Jay fought cancer as a child at St. Jude. And, he has since dedicated his life the caring for kids who fight that same battle. Our family has been given the privilege of getting to know Jay and some of these precious children and their families,” Marrs continued.

“What an honor it was to watch to witness a little guy be blessed today with a new playground in his backyard. It’s much more than a playground. It’s tangible evidence of the way God loves, adores and cherishes his little Hudson. It was built by Jay and his community of warriors and we pray it is an abundant blessing to Hudson, he big brother and his steadfast and strong parents. May this play always be as full of joy and goodness as it was today,” she added.

Marrs often shared words of encouragement and wisdom through Instagram. She recently worked with Erin Napier to help revitalize Fort Collins, Colorado by remodeling homes and businesses.

Movieguide® previously reported:

“What an honor it has been to be a part of this town revitalization,” Jenny wrote on Instagram. “It’s amazing what good can come from a group of people willing to work hard to bless the people who are making a difference in their community. Fort Morgan is full of good people doing good things!”

She continued, “A big thank you to our friends @erinapier and @scotsman.co for asking us to be a part of this truly amazing project. We all share a passion for small towns and it’s been wonderful working together (along with so many others in our @hgtvfamily) to make this massive whole town revitalization happen!”
