Jeremy Renner is reassuring fans about his health after a terrifying snow plow accident left him hospitalized.

Movieguide® previously reported on the accident:

Actor Jeremy Renner was rushed to the hospital and is in critical condition after a snow plow accident, Deadline first reported.

The AVENGERS actor, 51, reportedly suffered injuries “after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today.”

“His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care,” one representative said.

The actor was clearing snow out of his driveway when he got out of the plow. It started to move on its own and ran over Renner, injuring his chest and legs.

Renner has since posted a selfie in the hospital, as well as a video of his sister and mother giving him a “spa day” while he recovers in the ICU.

“ICU spa moment to lift my spirits,” he captioned the video. “Thank you mama. Thank you sister. Thank all for you. For your love.”

His selfie had a similar caption, thanking supporters for their “kind words.”

“I send love to you all,” Renner wrote

Movieguide® reported further on the accident:

Fellow Marvel actor Mark Ruffalo called on fans to pray for his friend and co-star Jeremy Renner after a snow plow accident sent the actor to the hospital.

“Prayers up for our brother @jeremyrenner on a full and speedy recovery,” Ruffalo, 55, wrote on Instagram.

Ruffalo and Renner appeared in three AVENGERS movies, as the Hulk and Hawkeye respectively.

According to reports, Renner had surgery to treat several critical injuries.

“We can confirm that Jeremy has suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and has undergone surgery today, Jan. 2, 2023. He has returned from surgery and remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition,” a representative said of the accident.

“Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve and the Carano and Murdock families,” Renner’s rep added. “They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans.”

Local police said that they airlifted the MCU star to a hospital on New Year’s Day.

“At approximately 9:00 am on January 1, 2023, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a traumatic injury in the area of Mt. Rose Highway in Reno, Nevada,” a statement read. “Upon arrival, Deputies coordinated with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange for medical transport of Mr. Jeremy Renner via care flight to a local area hospital.”
