Jesus is Taking Over Ohio State’s Football Team

Several Ohio State football players arrived at fall camp giving glory to God.
Team members sported shirts with faith-based slogans including “Follow Jesus,” “Jesus Won,” “Jesus Saves,” “God Got Me” and “Just Here To Give God Glory” as they moved in for training.
Fans and rivals alike celebrated the players’ open declarations of their faith in God.
“THE JESUS SHIRTS ARE EVERYTHING!! I LOVE OHIO STATE,” one person wrote.
Another said, “This is why I love this team more than just a game!!! *Jesus is king*”
Michigan fans, Ohio State’s rival, commented on the post saying, “Michigan fan will always support Jesus. God is bigger than rivalries 🙏🙌”
Another Michigan fan commented, “Michigan fan… so hard to root against these guys seeing them with the Jesus Won shirts on.”
This move comes after Ohio’s tight end Gee Scott preached at a local church and shared the work God was doing on his team. Movieguide® reported:
“Scott told a story at the conclusion of his sermon that in January he began to sense a clear message on his heart that God would bring Ohio State teammates of his to get baptized,” the outlet continued. “Scott encouraged teammates throughout the spring to heed God’s call to come to church and undergo the sacrament of baptism, but his efforts were often in vain.”
Scott told One Church, “What started to creep into my heart was a little bit of discouragement. Am I not witnessing good enough to my teammates? Am I not evangelizing good enough? We do a Bible study once a week, am I not able to share the truth good enough?”
Following his sermon, when the worship music was playing, seven of Scott’s teammates were baptized.
“I just want to make this aware so everyone in Columbus, the community knows in Columbus, what’s going on,” Scott said. “Something’s going on on this football team. Christ is working on this football team.”
Scott and his teammate, TreVeyon Henderson, want their fans to spread Jesus’ love too.
“Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood to pay the price for our sins so our sins can be forgiven and we can be made right with God, and three days later he rose, overcoming the power of sin that leads to eternal death, so we can receive eternal life and enter the Kingdom of Heaven!” they declared, quoting John 16:33.
