Justin Bieber Opens Up About Feeling ‘Unworthy’

Justin Bieber shared some relatable thoughts about feeling “unworthy” to his Instagram Story last week.
“People told me my whole life ‘wow Justin u deserve that’ and I personally have always felt unworthy,” Bieber wrote on March 13. “Like I was a fraud, like when people told me I deserve something, it made me feel sneaky like…if only they knew my thoughts.”
He continued, “How judgmental I am, how selfish I really am, they wouldn’t be saying this. I say all this to say. If you feel sneaky welcome to the club. I definitely feel unequipped and unqualified most days.”
Fans and family alike have shared concern about Bieber over the last year. When questions over drug use arose, a rep for Bieber denied the claims, saying “Despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive.”
The concerns come over Bieber’s past with addiction, which he says God saved him from.
His addictions started when he was just 13 when he began smoking weed. That eventually spiraled into “alcohol, lean (a mixture of codeine cough syrup, soda and hard candy), taking pills, MDMA, psychedelic mushrooms, ‘everything,'” USA Today reported. He “felt like I was dying.”
“My security and stuff would come into my room at night to check my pulse,” he recalled. “People don’t know how serious it got. It was legit crazy scary. I was waking up in the morning and the first thing I was doing was popping pills and smoking a blunt and starting my day. It just got scary.”
He eventually did get sober and leaned on God.

Following his Thursday Story, fans rallied around the singer on a separate post.
One fan commented, “just wanted to send some love your way. This is a reminder that your fans are always by your side. We’re all rooting for you, praying for you, and just want you to be happy and healthy. Take all the time you need — we’re here for you every step of the way!🙌”
Another fan said, “Quit judging yourself. It’s not your job. Forgive yourself for your mistakes. He forgives you. The industry used you…don’t carry the weight of others’ ill intent.”
