Justin Bieber capped the 1DayLA outreach in Los Angeles, California, with his Freedom Experience concert, alongside other Christian artists and his pastor, Judah Smith.

According to the Christian Post, Bieber named the concert and ministry event after his first Christian album called “Freedom.”

The concert featured other famous artists like Chandler Moore of Maverick City, Tori Kelly, and Kari Jobe, whom all expressed their thankfulness to God for the success of the outreach and its finale.

“Still so moved about last night,” Jobe said on Instagram.

“Many of you may not be used to this kind of atmosphere. But what you are experiencing is the presence of God. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Jesus, Thank you Jesus,” Jobe quoted Bieber as saying.

Bieber joined Jobe and her husband, Cody Carnes, to perform their song, “The Blessing.” The 27-year-old also collaborated with Kelly, who is featured on his most recent gospel album.

“The Freedom Experience, what an incredible night filled with so much love!!” Kelly wrote on Instagram. “Thank you to @1dayLA & the thousands of volunteers who went & served this city. thank you to the entire crew who made this event possible!”

“Thank you JESUS,” she added.

Billboard reported:

Volunteers willing to do a minimum of three hours of service can sign up for the event here; a $29 registration fee supports 1DayLA’s efforts and includes an official 1DayLA T-shirt.

“1DayLA and The Freedom Experience live concert event showcase the power and beauty of a city coming together,” said Dominic Russo of 1DayLA in a statement. “In the wake of a sustained season of crisis and isolation, people desperately need authentic expressions of hope, help, and love. This will be an unforgettable opportunity to celebrate and dynamically impact communities across Los Angeles.”

According to the statement, Bieber was inspired to join the 1DayLA movement “because of his strong and long-held belief that giving of ourselves in service to others is one of the most important things we can do. Bieber is committed to the powerful idea that a movement for change can start with individuals helping one another and their community.”

Movieguide® previously reported on the mission behind the 1DayLA event:

On July 18, the missions outreach organization Missions.Me launched their weeklong event of service in Los Angeles County called 1DayLA.

“1DayLA is a collaborative movement of organizations and volunteers from across the world uniting to provide the greatest display of love the city of Los Angeles has ever experienced,” the Missions.Me website reads.

The ministry seeks to answer one question: “What can love do?”

“1DayLA is mobilizing 20,000 volunteers from across Southern California to serve the county of Los Angeles from July 18-24, culminating in The Freedom Experience at the brand new SoFi Stadium on July 24,” the website explains. “The unprecedented movement will unite and offer communities across Los Angeles, California hope and help by organizing city beautification projects, back-to-school events, free medical clinics, homeless assistance, and aid distribution.”
