Why Liam Neeson Partnered with Hallow for Advent: ‘Grow Deeper In Our Faith’
By Movieguide® Contributor
Liam Neeson shared his excitement for his partnership with the Hallow prayer app this Advent season.
“This is something I’m really excited to share with people,” Neeson said. “I’ll be going through meditations, largely from C.S. Lewis – from Belfast originally – with C.S. Lewis in partnership with Hallow app, which is this great prayer and meditation app.”
“The content is pretty incredible. There’s everything from growing in faith, to what it means to love, to how we’re called to learn to let go,” he continued. “It will all be part of our Christmas and Advent challenge to help us really grow deeper in our faith this holiday season.”
Hallow’s “Advent with C.S. Lewis” series brings meditations from several of the author’s works – including “The Four Loves,” “Mere Christianity” and “The Great Divorce” – to life. Neeson leads the journey along with THE CHOSEN’s Jonathan Roumie and Sr. Miriam James Heidland.
“[The series] will focus on the three comings of Christ: personally into each of our hearts, His Second Coming at the end of time, and as an infant in Bethlehem,” Hallow explained.
The series began on Dec. 3 – the first Sunday of Advent – and will run through Christmas Eve, which concludes the Advent season.
“It’s always been a dream of ours to do a challenge with C.S. Lewis’ incredible writings,” Hallow’s CEO and co-founder, Alex Jones, told Fox News Digital. “They changed my own life and we’re honored to be able to pray through them this Advent.”
“I couldn’t think of a more phenomenal voice to lead us through the writings than Liam’s. He, Jonathan and Sr. Miriam do such a beautiful job bringing them to life. We’re so excited to help people pray this advent,” he continued.
“We believe that prayer is transformative, and we are blessed to have partners like Liam Neeson and Jonathan Roumie to help folks prepare their hearts for Jesus,” Jones added.
