Mike Lindell Shares How God Freed Him from ‘All the Addiction’
By Movieguide® Staff
MyPillow and MyStore CEO Mike Lindell recently sat down on JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE! where the left-leaning Kimmel interviewed the conservative on his past addiction to cocaine, the election and more.
Kimmel, who is known to mock guests who do not align with him politically, started the conversation by noting the importance of having a civil discussion.
“A lot of people didn’t want you to come on this show,” Kimmel said. “Liberals and conservatives, everyone told me don’t have you on the show, and they told you don’t go on the show. But I think it’s important that we talk to each other.”
“Absolutely,” Lindell agreed.
Kimmel then launched into the interview by rehashing Lindell’s past, from his cocaine addiction to owning a million-dollar company.
“You did a lot of stuff,” Kimmel said. “You then got addicted to cocaine, and then crack. You have a gambling problem, you supported yourself counting cards. You smoked more crack.”
At the end of the short recap, Lindell pointed out a crucial part of his life story that the host neglected to mention.
“Well, you missed one thing,” Lindell said. “On January 16, 2009, by the grace of God, He did free me of all the addiction.”
Lindell also brought his book, “What Are The Odds? From Crack Addict to CEO,” which Kimmel said he had read. Lindell used the brief moment to share his story and his foundation, the Lindell Recovery Network, where he seeks to help others overcome addictions of all kinds.
“Hello, I’m Mike Lindell. For decades I battled many addictions including crack cocaine. The Lindell Recovery Network is my revolutionary platform to help set addicts free. Please watch my video to get started,” his site reads.
It also notes that LRN works with many churches to aid those struggling with addiction.
Although the interview devolved into Kimmel’s distinctive brand of late-night comedy, Lindell used the time on-air as a platform to share God’s work in his life.
After the interview, Lindell confirmed that a Lindell Recovery Network Executive Director sent out a letter encouraging people to pray that Jesus would be glorified during the interview.
The letter read:
Truly, no one knows what Jimmy may have up his sleeve for tonight, but Mike views the entire opportunity as simply this: God has opened an amazing door. Our hope is that this appearance will allow Mike to reach many, and that his words will touch and inspire people.
God has anointed Mike Lindell with an amazing calling to bring truth, boldness, and freedom to Americans and addicts alike. We know our present culture is far from the Lord: ‘Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, and put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.’ -Isaiah 5:20. So let’s pray against demonic interference, confusion, and mean-spiritedness, and pray for the Lord’s hand to be upon Mike tonight. We stand in the gap for Mike and pray the Lord will give him strength, wisdom, discernment, and boldness!
May it be for all your glory Jesus! Thank you for Mike Lindell and for the mission you have set before him.
