STRANGER THINGS star Millie Bobby Brown and husband Jake Bongiovi are officially parents!
“This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the couple posted on Instagram. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were 3.”

Brown and Bongiovi have been together since 2021 after becoming friends through Instagram. They married in 2024.
The STRANGER THINGS actress has frequently spoken about her desire for a family. During an appearance on the “Smartless” podcast, Brown explained, “I really want a family. I really want a big family. I’m one of four. [Bongiovi is] one of four. So, it is definitely in our future, but, for me, I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different as in adopting.”
She acknowledged that she was “really young” to be thinking about motherhood — she is 21, while her husband is 23 — but added, “My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. And you know, it’s been my thing since before I met Jake. Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me.”
“Jake knows how important it is to me, and, of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me personally,” Brown continued. “It’s a huge thing. Jake was like, we cannot do that until we get married. So that was his thing.”
In a Vanity Fair interview, Brown shared that she and Bongiovi were “pretty united” on how they would create their family.
“We talked about our political views, what kind of family we want to build, the kind of home we want to live in, the kind of relationship we’re looking for, the kind of careers we want,” she said. “It’s such an important decision, and we wanted to make sure we were making the right one. I knew I was. It always felt right with him.”
Brown has also spoken about how inspired she has been by her own mother and grandmother. In a 2023 interview with Glamour, the actress said, “I wanted to be the woman that my mom is to me and I wanted to be the woman that my grandmother was to me.”
Brown’s fans are excited for the actress and her husband as they embark on this new journey as a family of three!
