Netflix is making its platform more appealing to parents by adding kids’ content like the videos from Ms. Rachel’s YouTube channel onto the platform.
“Starting Jan. 27, four episodes of MS. RACHEL will be available to stream in a curated compilation of her playful, research-backed videos for every stage of a child’s development, from early language skills to phonics and learning to read,” Netflix said in an announcement.
“Incorporating singing, dancing, and play, Ms. Rachel’s videos help children learn how to talk and express themselves and their emotions…” the announcement continued. “The four-episode season of MS. RACHEL will include interactive lessons that teach letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and more.”
Beginning her YouTube channel in 2019 to help her son — a visual learner — with his education, Ms. Rachel has bloomed to become one of the most popular children’s creators on the platform. She has amassed over 7 billion views in under six years, released a line of children’s books and partnered with SESAME STREET.

Despite her popularity, Ms. Rachel is not fully safe for media-wise families as she has posted about LGBTQ+ support on her social media in the past as well as partnering with a YouTuber who is proudly non-binary. Nonetheless, the four episodes of her content being added to Netflix’s library will likely be free of any controversial topics.
The addition of Ms. Rachel onto the platform comes as Netflix looks to expand its offerings for kids. Last September, Netflix added curated playlists for kids that offer content based on an overall theme. This feature was added to remove the need to scroll for new series, cutting down on the possibility of decision paralysis because of an overwhelming number of choices.
