Pastor Rick Warren Celebrates Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s Engagement

At long last, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are going to tie the knot. They shared this week that they are “extremely excited” to be engaged and on their way to marriage.

They aren’t the only ones! Saddleback Church Pastor Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life, shared his felicitations on social media. 

“Congratulations Gwen Stafani and Blake Shelton. I’m happy for you both!”

Shelton and Stefani both shared their gratitude with Warren.  

Shelton wrote: “Thank you sir. We are extremely excited!”

Stefani retweeted Shelton’s message and added: “Rick Warren we love u!! thank u! gx”

The couple announced their engagement earlier this week. They are both coaches on THE VOICE this season and previously collaborated on a song on Shelton’s latest album.

Shelton is vocal about his faith and often includes references to Christ in his music.

Shelton even credits Stefani for helping him rekindle his relationship with the Lord.

As Movieguide® previously reported: 

“I believe in God now more than I ever have in my life,” The Voice coach said. “The biggest part of that is just how (Gwen) came into my life and now our relationship. It’s just too weird. If you take God out of it, it doesn’t make sense. If you put God into it, everything that’s happened with us makes sense.”

Gwen is Gwen Stefani, also a recurring coach on the NBC singing show, produced by Christian Mark Burnett. Stefani is often spotted taking her children to church in Los Angeles.

Stefani invited him to church, and he’s been regularly attending services for the last few years.
