Podcast Queen Candace Cameron Bure Admits She ‘Didn’t Know’ This
By Movieguide® Contributor
Candace Cameron Bure openly admits that she “didn’t know what a podcast was nine years ago.”
“I didn’t start listening to them until about two years ago,” she revealed on the podcast she now hosts.
The thing about podcasts is that “you really have to find your people,” Bure added.
The actress launched her podcast in 2022.
“I’ve been interviewed a whole lot in my 40 plus years on television,” Bure said in a statement at the time. “I thought it was time to have in-depth conversations about things I really care about — and have lots of fun at the same time!”
She dives into all kinds of topics including “parenting, marriage, personal growth, healthy living, faith and Christmas.”
“The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast” is getting ready for its seventh season, coming this July.
“New episodes are on the way this summer, and they are amazing!” Bure announced on Instagram. She took some time off in June, saying, “We’re unplugging to be with our family and friends, and we hope that you’re getting a break too.”
The next season’s theme? “Becoming Better Parents.”
“The guest hosts are incredible…I can’t wait to reveal them to you,” she added.
The podcast gives Bure yet another opportunity to share her faith and explore her interests.
“I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit, even as a teenager. I knew that I loved the entertainment industry and I did love acting, but I always felt like I wanted more,” she told Variety previously about wearing multiple hats. “I didn’t just want to be an actor, which is a great thing. I wanted more, so I was always positioning myself and trying to learn, as a young adult, what else I could do — the other aspects of the industry like producing or directing. I’ve loved watching people grow. I love seeing other entrepreneurs pursue their dreams.”
Movieguide® previously reported on Bure:
Candace Cameron Bure is encouraging her podcast listeners to “unplug” this summer.
“Alright friends, we are wrapping up the editing on the next season of the podcast, and it’s so good. I can’t wait to tell you who the guest hosts are,” Bure said in a video posted to “The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast” Instagram account.
She continued, “Now, I thought about releasing it this week, but I’m actually going on vacation with my family and I need a break, and my guess is that you do, too. So, I thought, let’s do the summer the way that we used to — we’re going to unplug from the podcast for the month of June, and we hope that you’ll unplug, too.”
“Spend some time with your family and your friends, and try not to be so consumed with the things on the internet. That’s what I’m going to try to do,” Bure concluded. “And then, let’s reconnect in July and August with brand new conversations that are going to help us prepare for a very noisy fall.”
