Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac is opening up about his hunger for God’s word.
“I think what I have found is over the last few weeks, I’ve grown an appetite for — I just want to put the phone down. I want to put everything away, and I just want to read the Bible,” Isaac said on Sports Spectrum’s podcast. “I’ve started to notice myself, like, I didn’t even know that was in there. Like just get into a poem, I’m just sitting down, and I’m just going to read God’s Word. If it’s 10 chapters at a time, if it’s one, I’ve just been finding time to just sit down, be secluded and read God’s Word. It has really been helping me.”

Isaac understands that in any situation he may face in this life, he must rely on God’s Word for guidance and direction.
“…just developing a relationship with the Word. We have a relationship with God through Christ. We have a relationship with the Holy Spirit, but I’m growing like we need a relationship with the Word of God to where we know the Word of God. I know what the Word of God says. I use it in certain situations in my life, and anything that’s coming up, I can go back to the Word of God because it’s in my mind, it’s in my spirit,” he explained.
His faith is at the forefront of everything Isaac does. He launched his clothing line, UNITUS, last year, and even his merch boldly declares God’s word.
