Sadie Robertson Huff ‘Heartbroken’ for Israel: ‘God Be With Us’

By Movieguide® Contributor

As the world has been devastated by the news of the war in Israel, Sadie Robertson Huff has taken to Instagram to share her thoughts on the situation.

The DUCK DYNASTY star posted a beautiful photo of the Sea of Galilee with a heartfelt caption.

“I took this picture at the Sea of Galilee when I was visiting Israel because I specially remember how peaceful the view was and how peaceful I felt,” she began. “It’s hard to believe that today this beautiful place is at war… I’m devastated by what is happening. Heartbroken for the people and the nation. I don’t have many words, but we are praying intently for everyone there right now. God be with us.”

One user commented, “Praying fervently as well. Jesus be with the hostages; especially the little ones.”

This past Saturday, Hamas invaded Israel with a surprise attack, which has killed both military personnel and civilians.

VOX reported, “The fighting in southern Israel is ongoing, with reports that Hamas is bringing Israeli hostages back to Gaza. Israel’s retaliatory airstrikes have already killed nearly 200 Palestinians.” The Daily Wire adds that Hamas has killed over 1,000 Israelis.

As the death toll climbs and war advances, many have shared their support for Israel.

Movieguide® reported on Israeli WONDER WOMAN actress Gal Gadot’s prayers for her country:

“At least 250 Israeli have been murdered and dozens of women children and elders held as hostages in Gaza, by Palestinian military group Hamas,” Gadot wrote on Instagram two days ago.

“Starting early morning more than 3,000 rockets were fired. Hamas is holding hostages, controlling bases and settlements in Israel. There have been more than 1,500 injured and heavy fighting is still ongoing.”

“My heart is aching,” she added. “Praying for those in pain.”

Bono of the band U2 expressed his condolences at a concert in Vegas on Sunday.

“A song about nonviolence seems ridiculous, but our prayers have always been for peace and for nonviolence…Our hearts and our anger,” the musician said. “You know where that’s pointed. So sing with us.’”

FROZEN actor Josh Gad shared, “I have no words. I am praying for my many family members in Israel. What a cowardly act. What we are witnessing in real time right now is unprecedented since the Yom Kippur war. My heart breaks for the families of those who have lost loved ones, and for the hostages who have been taken. What a horrific day.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with Israel as we pray for peace, resolution and the protection of the innocent.
