Sadie Robertson Huff says we need to be more like one of the Bible’s most inspiring men: John the Baptist.
“When they come to John the Baptist, they’re like, ‘who are you?’” Huff preached at VOUScon earlier this month on the topic of being secure in who you are. “And you know what’s so cool about John answer? He answers with who he is not.”
He answered that he is not God, the Christ, Elijah or a prophet. Rather, he told them he is the one who was going to “prepare the way.”
“You know what’s so cool is he wasn’t saying this in like an insecure way. He wasn’t saying it in like a self-deprecating way. He wasn’t insecure about who he’s not,” the DUCK DYNASTY star said.
“He was totally secure in what the Word said about him,” Huff explained.
Huff, a young speaker, author, TV personality and mom of three, has preached and shared many gospel-based messages since she rose to fame on DUCK DYNASTY.
She shared a message about compromise on her blog in 2023. Often when people self-compromise, they’re telling themself that something wrong is acceptable if it’s done for the right reason.

“More often than I like to admit, if you searched my heart, you would see conviction covered up with piles of compromising statements that I said so beautifully and convincingly that I began to believe them myself,” Huff wrote.
She explained the importance of never compromising. Your compromises can make a trickle effect, influencing others to compromise too. But it’s important to stick to boundaries and standards.
“Are you leading out of a place of compromise in your own heart or are you leading out of a place of conviction about God’s heart?” Huff asked. “The fruit of your life will tell the story. Leading with conviction starts first with living an honest life with yourself, then you can lead others with conviction based on God’s word, not the words of the world.”
Huff’s new show with her family, DUCK DYNASTY: THE REVIVAL just released on June 1 on A&E. New episodes are coming out every Sunday at 9 p.m. ET, Taste of Country reported.
The synopsis reads, “DUCK DYNASTY: THE REVIVAL follows Willie and Korie and their growing family of adult children and grandchildren, the next generation of Robertsons living on the family homestead in Louisiana. With their dynasty expanding into more than just ducks, Willie and Korie will bring their signature humor and family fun as they grapple with mapping out the future of Duck Commander, watching the kids navigate marriage, children and businesses of their own, and passing down the family legacy.”
As Huff continues to reach old and new fans, she will continue to point them to God and encourage them to find their security in Him.
