Tamera Mowry-Housely shared a closer look at her upcoming festive-themed backing competition show which pits pairs of bakers against each other as they compete for a $50,000 prize.

“They are just the sweetest,” Mowry-Housely said about the show’s competitors. “Most of them are home bakers, which was really inspiring. What I love about this show is the different pairings — you have mother and daughter, father and son, and couples. It was awesome to witness how they all worked together. You can definitely see so much love between the teams.”

“From the first episode to the end, there wasn’t a clear winner,” she added when explaining why the show is so entertaining. “The stakes from challenge to challenge were high.”

Mowry-Housley’s show, BAKED WITH LOVE: HOLIDAY, was first announced in June. While she is set to host the show, Anna Haugh (MASTERCHEF: THE PROFESSIONALS) and Vaughn Vreeland will join her to judge the competition.

“This show is the perfect recipe for joy, combining the magic of baking for the holidays with the warmth, charm, and heartfelt connections that embody the Hallmark spirit,” Hallmark Media head of unscripted David Stefanou said in a statement when the show was announced. “We’re thrilled to bring audiences a series that mixes delectable treats with the comforting, feel-good storytelling our viewers love and expect. It’s about more than just competition. It’s about living your best Hallmark life.”

Mowry-Housley previously shared her excitement for the show, saying, “I’m SO excited to announce that I’ll be a host on BAKED WITH LOVE: HOLIDAY alongside @haughser and @vaughn! I had the sweetest time with these two and loved being back in my hosting element — especially for a channel that’s near and dear to my heart, @Hallmark.”

BAKED WITH LOVE: HOLIDAY comes as Hallmark looks to expand its offerings by introducing unscripted shows to its lineup. Other shows include FINDING MR. CHRISTMAS, CELEBRATIONS WITH LACEY CHAMBERT and an idea for a murder mystery series.

“What I’m trying to do is take the familiar, and because unscripted is new for our core viewers, take a familiar sort of genre, and really put our spin on it and make it uniquely Hallmark,” Stefanou said.

BAKED WITH LOVE: HOLIDAY does not yet have a specific release date, but it is set to come to the network sometime this holiday season. It will be fun to see a baking competition with a holiday spin come to Hallmark this year.
