REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS star Teddi Mellencamp has undergone surgery after “multiple tumors” were discovered on her brain.

“For the last several weeks I’ve been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches. Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization,” she said in an Instagram post explaining how she discovered the tumors. “After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months.”

Mellencamp, the daughter of rock legend John Cougar Mellencamp, explained that two tumors would be surgically removed the day of the post, while the others will later be treated with radiation.

She then thanked everyone who has supported her along her difficult health journey.

“I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses, and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health. Thank you to everybody who has reached out, and to everyone who has supported me along this journey,” she said.

Although it hasn’t been confirmed if the tumors are related to Mellencamp’s ongoing issues with reoccurring melanoma, fans believe that may the case and have encouraged her with positive stories.

“From a Melanoma stage IV Mets to the brain survivor here…You got this! 🙏” one user said. Another person added, “Praying for you right now ♥️.”

Mellencamp has had 17 melanomas removed in the past three years, something almost unheard of in the medical community. In September 2025, she had her 16h melanoma removed, PEOPLE reported. “In December, the TV personality said that after undergoing 20 surgeries and having 17 melanomas removed, she was in tears of relief after learning that she didn’t need to undergo another biopsy for the first time in two years.”

“I had this ginormous patch on the back of my shoulder that I always kind of had…I was born with it,” she said in a video explaining how she first discovered she had melanoma. “And then I started getting these like…sunspots. I guess it was three years ago, I was on a run with Kyle and our friend Jen, and they were like ‘Teddi, the things on your back, you’re going to the doctor.”

The doctor immediately knew it was cancer and sent Mellencamp to an oncologist, which was the beginning of a very long journey.
