“The Bible Recap” tops the podcast charts for the third January in a row!

“We’re seeing a lot of people who are returning to the faith,” podcast host Tara-Leigh Cobble told Fox News of the show’s popularity; for the third year in a row, “The Bible Recap” has cracked Apple’s Top 10 podcasts.

Cobble called the benchmark “exciting,” adding, “[people] are hungry for God’s Word and spiritual growth.”

She also shared some tips for listeners who are unsure of where to begin when it comes to tackling the Bible.

“I like to listen to each day’s reading on the audio Bible app while I make my coffee and get my day started,” Cobble said, explaining that she’s made it “part of my routine.”

She also counseled reading the Bible along with a friend, saying, “That introduces not only an accountability aspect to it, but also a new layer of joy and discovery!”

“Remember: every day that you’re in God’s Word, you’re right on time,” Cobble continued. “Don’t let your perfectionism steal your enthusiasm. Don’t expect to do it flawlessly or understand it completely. That’s not what this is about. This is about looking for God and His character in the pages of His Word — and every day is a treasure hunt! And He promises that if you seek Him with all your heart, you will find Him! So keep digging!”

Cobble recently published a companion guide for podcast listeners, “The Bible Recap 365-Day Chronological Study Bible,” which she called a “capstone resource.”

“For years, TBR followers have been asking for a book that contains both the Bible and The Bible Recap,” she told Publisher’s Weekly of the Bible. “And they’ve especially wanted it to be laid out in the order of our chronological reading plan.”

Speaking to the Christian Post about “The Bible Recap”‘s popularity, Cobble said she’s been “blown away” by the response to the podcast.

“It’s just incredible what the Lord is doing through this and in individual hearts and lives,” she said. “When our hearts and lives are transformed, we don’t shut up about it. We just keep talking, and we want to tell everybody. And so, the people that are hearing — it’s whetting their appetite. What I see happening is an awakening within the Church that is piquing the curiosity outside the Church.”

“The Bible Recap”‘s enduring success is an indicator of people’s hunger for a deeper connection with God.
