Nancy Guthrie, mother of TODAY host Savannah Guthrie, has been missing since Feb. 1, and the family hasn’t lost hope of locating her.

On March 21, after 50 days of Nancy’s disappearance, which is assumed to be an abduction, the Guthrie family issued a statement.

“We are deeply grateful for the outpouring from neighbors, friends, and the people of Tucson. We are all family now,” they wrote. “We continue to believe it is Tucsonans, and the greeted Southern Arizona community, that hold the key to finding resolution in this case.”

“Someone knows something. It’s possible a member of this community has information that they do not even realize is significant. We hope people search their memories, especially around the key timelines of January 31 and the early morning hours of February 1, as well as the late evening of January 11,” they said.

They plead to the Tuscon community to rack their brains for anything that might be helpful — even if it doesn’t seem like it.

“We desperately ask this community for renewed attention to our mom’s case — please consult camera, footage, journal notes, text messages, observations or conversations that in retrospect may hold significance. No detail is too small. It may be the key.”

“We miss our mom with every breath, and we cannot be in peace until she is home. We cannot grieve; we can only ache and wonder. Our focus is solely on finding her and bringing her home,” the statement said.

The family expressed their desire to celebrate her life and thanked everyone for their prayers.

It’s not clear why the date the family mentioned, Jan. 11, is relevant. Fox News says it’s possibly related to the perpetrator that’s seen in security camera footage from Nancy’s door.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said on March 13 that investigators continue to analyze evidence, which includes “material from laboratories as well as images and videos captured by camera.”

“At this time, we will not comment on the details or status of this analysis,” sheriff spokesperson Angelica Carrillo said in the update.

Savannah also shared an artistic depiction of Jesus and angels on her social media with “I believe. I believe” written over it. She put in the caption, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those crushed in spirit.”

Please continue to pray that Nancy and other missing persons will be found. Every day that passes with no news is another day families quietly suffer.
