Jesus is “the way and the truth and the life,” he said on X in a post that’s been viewed over 20 million times.

Kim shared more about his faith a few days later, posting, “As the world’s highest IQ record holder, I believe the Bible is the perfect, eternal, and final Word of God. Therefore, the Bible doesn’t need to be updated. The world needs to catch up.”

“As the world’s highest IQ record holder, I trust that Christianity offers the clearest way to understand and experience God. Through the teachings of Jesus, we can find the most complete and true knowledge of God, who is love and salvation,” he said in another post.

Faith plays an important role in Kim’s life. Earlier in the year, he opened up about his decision to get a Christian Theology degree from Yonsei University.
“One of the best things I have ever done in my life is earning a BA degree in Christian Theology (nondenominational) from Yonsei University, #1 private university in Asia. I believe that theology is the ultimate discipline of all fields of study,” Kim wrote on X.

His faith also informs his position on hot-button cultural topics like gender identity.
“As the world’s highest IQ record holder, I trust this logical conclusion: 1) The Bible is the ultimate truth. 2) The Bible declares that God created only two genders. 3) Therefore, every other gender is a human invention or sci-fi concept,” he posted.

Culture seems to tell us faith in God is only for the unintelligent. But evangelist Stuart Knechtle, commenting on Kim’s declaration of faith, shared that many of the smartest people who ever lived believed and trusted in God.
“[Kim’s faith] harkens back to the greatest minds this world has ever seen, many of whom have said that Jesus is God, from Newton to Kepler, Galileo, Boyle, CS Lewis, Flannery, O’Connor, Dostoevsky, the list goes on and on,” he posted. “So many people believe that Jesus is Lord, and now the man of the highest IQ points. It’s crazy. So, don’t reject the Christian faith, because you think, ‘Oh, you know, Christians, those are just dummies who believe in fairy tales.’ Accept Jesus Christ as Lord, because that’s exactly who He is.”
Online personality David J. Harris Jr. also shared about Kim’s declaration: “World’s highest IQ record holder, YoungHoon Kim, has announced that he believes Jesus Christ is God, the way, and the truth and the life!”
